Webb1 nov. 2024 · Tonsilloliths, also known as tonsil (or tonsillar) stones or calculi, are clusters of calcifications that form in enlarged tonsillar crypts, within the tonsils or around them. Although they are uncommon and benign, they may be symptomatic causing pain, halitosis, foul taste, irritable cough, dysphagia, otalgia or a foreign body-like sensation. WebbNo phlebolith/calcification is seen in it. No invasion is seen into the nearby structures. Small enhancing lesion in the left hand, which is likely a soft tissue hemangioma; another possible differential can be a peripheral nerve sheath tumor ( neurofibroma or schwannoma ), which is, however, less likely.
