Benicar is an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker or ARBs. It is not known if Benicar is safe and effective in children younger than 6 years. What are the possible side effects of Benicar? The indications have been gradually expanded to hypertensive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, diabetic nephropathy, and non-diabetic nephropathy [ 2 ].
